4 Column Solitaire is a quick and simple solitaire game. The object is to deal out the deck four cards at a time, into four columns. If the top card in any two columns have the same suit, the lower card can be removed. If an empty column results from a card removal, the top card from any of the other columns can be moved into the empty location. The game is over after all cards have been dealt out, and all cards removed that can be. If only the four aces remain, then you win!

When the application is first started, or when the "New" button is tapped, the board is cleared and the cards are put back into the deck and shuffled.
At the lower-left portion of the screen is the deck. The number of rounds remaining to be dealt is shown on the deck. Tapping the deck deals four cards, one to each column.
If at any time the top cards of two or more columns have cards of the same suit, then the lower valued cards can be removed. Aces are the high card in this game, with deuces the lowest valued card. Tapping on the card will remove it. Or, alternatively, the card can be dragged and released, causing it to be animated off the screen.
If at any time one of the four columns is empty of any cards, the top card from one of the other columns can be moved into it. To do this drag the card from its current column to somewhere in the empty column. When the card is released it will move into the top position in the column.
A common maneuver is to move a card that has a higher card of the same suit underneath, and then remove the newly moved card. To make that an easier process, if the card underneath the card being moved is a higher card of the same suit, the card will be removed, rather than moved into the empty column.
The game is simple enough to not require a lot of strategy. Besides removing all the cards you can after each deal, the main thing to remember is that aces cannot be removed, so do not move an ace into an empty column if that leaves an ace in each column, but not at the bottom position. If there is an ace in each column but there are cards underneath any of those aces, the game is lost.
